After 1.25 years of development, composing, animating, and rehearsing, Citywater will give the world premiere of NorCal Water Music on the last day of the Festival of New American Music at the Crocker Art Museum in downtown Sacramento.
NorCal Water Music will submerge listeners in the beautiful, complex and fragile Sacramento River Water shed. As the sound of Citwater cascades off the stage, streams of audio will echo from the audience's mobile devices. Together, haloed in animations of the watershed, soaked with musical notation that takes its inspiration from the very contours of the watershed, Citywater, the audience, and myself will create a deeply immersive, aquo-sonorous experience.
For those seeking to participate with their mobile devices in the concert, you may like to have a look/listen to the media in advance (instructions for participation will be announced at the concert). You will find the media here: https://www.derekkeller.com/norcal-media
Please join us on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 3pm, in the Setzer Foundation Auditorium at the Crocker.
